Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules you must follow when using the SkinVault Service operated by SkinVault, Inc. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Prohibited Activities
You may not, and may not attempt to:
- Commit fraud — use stolen, unauthorized or fraudulent payment methods, or provide false identity or billing information;
- Abuse chargebacks — initiate unwarranted payment disputes or chargebacks, particularly without first contacting us to resolve an issue;
- Infringe intellectual property — copy, redistribute or misuse content, trademarks or assets belonging to SkinVault, Valve Corporation or any third party;
- Scrape or harvest data — use crawlers, scrapers or other automated means to extract data or content from the Service without our written permission;
- Automate or exploit the case opener — use bots, scripts, macros or other automation to interact with the case-opening feature or to gain an unfair or unintended advantage;
- Distribute malware — upload or transmit viruses, worms, trojans or any other malicious code;
- Breach security — probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network, or circumvent authentication, rate-limiting or other protective measures;
- Harass or abuse — engage in harassment, hate speech, threats or abusive behavior toward others;
- Use the Service unlawfully — violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity; or
- Launder money — use the Service to conceal, transfer or legitimize proceeds of criminal activity, or to finance any prohibited activity.
2. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and take any action we deem appropriate, including issuing warnings, removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, contesting chargebacks, and reporting activity to law-enforcement or other authorities. We may do so with or without notice. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
3. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or of any security vulnerability, fraud or abuse, please report it promptly to support@skinvault.com. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will review all reports we receive.
