Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and SkinVault, Inc. (“SkinVault,” “we,” “us” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the SkinVault website, applications and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by them.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, browsing the catalog, placing an order, or otherwise using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Cookie Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater;
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; and
  • Not be barred from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.

By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. We may refuse, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these conditions are not met.

3. Description of the Service

SkinVault is a non-commercial demonstration of an e-commerce marketplace and a virtual “case opening” experience styled after Counter-Strike weapon skins. The Service is provided for illustrative and educational purposes only.

  • No real in-game items are sold, transferred or traded. Nothing purchased, opened or displayed on the Service grants you any in-game asset, inventory item, or anything of cash value within Counter-Strike, Steam or any other platform.
  • Checkout is simulated. Where a payment flow is shown, it demonstrates the integration rather than effecting a genuine sale of a deliverable in-game good.
  • Catalog data — including names, images, wear values, floats and prices — is illustrative or synthetic and should not be relied upon as accurate market data.

4. Accounts

Certain features may require you to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@skinvault.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to protect your account.

5. Orders, Pricing & Payment

  • Payments, where processed, are handled securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our servers.
  • All prices are displayed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated and are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout.
  • You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added or similar taxes, duties or assessments imposed by any taxing authority in connection with an order.
  • We may correct any pricing errors, cancel affected orders, and refuse or limit quantities at our discretion.

6. Virtual & Digital Goods

Any item, download, case outcome or other digital good available through the Service exists solely within this demonstration. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • No purchase or case outcome transfers any real in-game asset to you;
  • Counter-Strike weapon skins are account-bound to Steam and subject to Valve’s policies; they cannot lawfully be traded, sold or transferred off-platform through SkinVault; and
  • Virtual goods have no monetary value, are non-redeemable for cash, and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Because the Service deals in digital and virtual goods, refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Please review it before completing any order.

8. Acceptable Use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits fraud, chargeback abuse, infringement, scraping, automation against the case opener, and other misuse. Violations may result in suspension or termination.

9. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Rights

The SkinVault name, logo, site design, original text and software are owned by SkinVault, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from them.

Counter-Strike, CS2 and all related weapon-skin names and images are © Valve Corporation. Such names and images are displayed for non-commercial, demonstrative purposes under a fair-use rationale, sourced via the open community CSGO-API. SkinVault is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Valve Corporation or Counter-Strike. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data displayed is accurate or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SKINVAULT, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless SkinVault, Inc. and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnification) will survive.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will take effect upon posting, and your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
